Statement of Purpose

We realize that organizations and programs are systems – an organized collection of parts that are highly integrated to accomplish an overall goal. That is why while many firms specialize in one of a few specific services to non-profits, EMD-Kenya brings a highly comprehensive and integrated approach with focus on building the capacity of the entire organization.

Our mission is to develop and facilitate results-oriented training and consulting programs together with clients committed to sustaining and/or improving their organization’s effectiveness and creating their own learning organization.

We provide services in:

• Organizational Assessment and Strategic Planning: Discovering, through a disciplined pattern of thinking the best future for non-profit organizations and religious congregations and the steps and resources needed to move them from where they are to where they want to be.
• Leadership and Management Development: Enhancing the effectiveness and integrity of leaders in non-profit organizations so that the quality, relevance and value of the products and services delivered by them are improved by means of organizations that are better managed and led.
• Program Design, Marketing and Evaluation: Providing customized solutions for designing, marketing and evaluating non-profit programs to enable them to successfully meet the needs in the target population and get the support and funding so critical to their very existence.
• Non-profit Business Development (Social Entrepreneurship): Combining the best practices of the non-profit and for-profit sectors to simultaneously enhance a non-profit’s impact and financial sustainability through mission-related earned income activities.
